Daily Maintenance and Upkeep of Casting Film Production Line

Multi-layer co-extrusion casting film extrusion technology is a traditional film extrusion production process.The biggest advantage of this process is that it has extremely high processing accuracy and can maximize the performance of the material being processed.

Therefore, for the casting device, the following components need to be inspected and maintained before shutting down and starting up. like:

● Regularly clean the casting roller,  air knife, and vacuum device;

● Keep the roller surface clean and clean the impurities and oil stains on the roller;

● Regularly check the tension of the drive belt and chain to ensure proper tightness;

● Regularly check the cooling device to ensure that the readings of each instrument are accurate and working properly;

● Regularly check and clean the lubricating transmission device to ensure normal operation.

In addition to the above components, the core and key components of the casting unit, such as the extrusion system, such as the host motor, reduction gearbox and coupling, as well as the barrel, feeding device, etc., should be maintained.

The specific maintenance procedures are as follows

● Maintenance of main motor;

● Use compressed air to clean the motor completely to keep it clean;

● Check the cooling fan filter for debris, remove it and clean it once before shutting down (if blowing for cleaning, remove the filter and clean it with soapy water, and it must be dry before installation);

● Check the contact condition and wear of carbon brushes;

● Check the feedback signal of the tachometer motor;

● Check the rectifier control circuit and detect the performance of the protection circuit to ensure safety and reliability;

● Maintenance of reduction gearbox and coupling;

● Check whether the oil level of the reduction gearbox is appropriate;

● Check whether the bearings of the reduction gearbox are running normally;

● Check if the lubricant needs to be changed;

● Check the sealing condition of the rotating shaft oil seal at the inlet and outlet;

● Check whether the cooling oil circulation system is working properly;

● Check whether the rubber ring of the coupling is damaged;

● Maintenance of barrel and feeding device;

● Check the connection between the heating coil and the fuselage. If necessary, retighten the fixing screws;

● Recalibrate the control accuracy of the heating temperature of each section once;

● Check whether the cooling pipe of the primary hopper seat is smooth;

● Disassemble and clean the screw barrel, and check the matching gap between the screw and barrel to make sure it meets the standard, otherwise replace it;

● Clean the dust and dirt on the fan cooling grille to ensure that the fan is clean and operating normally;

● Check if the fan needs to be oiled;

● Check the automatic suction device once to ensure it is working properly.

In addition to the extrusion system, the casting unit also requires regular maintenance of other components, including the following:

● Thickness measuring device maintenance;

● Clean and lubricate the transmission guide rail once to maintain the normal tension of the belt;

● Calibrate the thickness measurement accuracy once and clean the probe thoroughly with compressed air;

● Corona treatment equipment maintenance;

● Thoroughly clean the pollutants on the surface of the discharge electrode and silicone roller, and clean the main circuit once to ensure that the surface of each component is clean and heat dissipation is good. Check the gap between the discharge electrode and the silicone roller once a month to make sure the distance is appropriate and even;

● Maintenance of traction and coiling device;

● Thoroughly clean all transmission guide rollers to ensure their surfaces are smooth, and lubricate all bearings once;

● Disassemble and inspect the clutch of the rewinding reel to ensure that the connection is tight, reliable and working properly; check and clean the transmission devices every month, and lubricate them as required;

● Check and clean the primary trimming recycling crusher and its piping system;

● Control cabinet maintenance;

● After shutting down, wipe the outside of the electrical cabinet to keep the screen clean and the control buttons sensitive;

● Remove the filter from the cooling fan of the electrical cabinet, replace it and clean it once.

Use a vacuum cleaner to clean and remove dust from each component in the electrical cabinet to ensure that each component is clean and has good heat dissipation. Check the working condition of industrial chillers and air compressors once a month to see if they are working normally and whether there is refrigerant leakage, etc.
