Jwell Machinery XPE Foam Sheet Production Line

The XPE foam sheet production line is a mature production line designed by Jwell Machinery based on its 20 years of experience in screw design and through continuous optimization.

The XPE special sheet extruder unit, relying on the company's many years of experience in screw design, optimizes the screw structure design, improves the barrel and screw core cooling system on the basis of conventional XPE extruder screws, and also makes major changes to the structural dimensions of the mold, so that the extruder and mold can well ensure the plasticization, uniform dispersion and controllable temperature of the material under high screw speed.

The new three-stage extended furnace is 23 meters long and 5.5 meters high. It is divided into preheating section, cross-linking section and foaming section. It is equipped with imported famous brand high-precision energy-saving burners to ensure that the temperature of each section is controlled within plus or minus 1 degree. It meets the process requirements of foaming. The furnace body is a three-stage furnace, and the amount of working gas is the same as that of a two-stage furnace. It can produce XPE and IXPE rubber and plastic foam products. XPE (IXPE) is a free-style continuous foaming material. It is a soft material with smooth surface, closed, independent, uniform, non-absorbent, unlimited length and non-absorbent pores. The biggest feature of this furnace body is its large output, with a maximum of 200~220 kg/hour.

XPE foaming furnace performance advantages

● The preheating and cross-linking sections have been greatly changed, and the heat capacity space has been reduced while meeting the process requirements. At the same time, energy is saved.

● In terms of heat distribution in the furnace, the defect of unreasonable heat distribution in the Korean furnace body has been overcome, and it is closer to the working heat requirements of XPE foaming. XPE foaming is made in a relatively wide process range, and the foaming is sufficient and stable.

● Large output. Among the foaming furnaces currently produced in China, our three-stage furnace has the largest output (maximum 200 kg/hour or more). Moreover, the XPE foam cells are finer than those of the two-stage furnace. The gas consumption is equivalent to that of the two-stage furnace.

● An observation hole is set on the wall panel of the foaming section. At the same time, a baffle structure is set at the outlet of the foaming furnace to adjust the furnace mouth size according to the production situation, so as to achieve energy-saving effects.

● The maximum foaming ratio can reach 35-40 times.

XPE Application Areas

It is an ideal material for automobile and air conditioning insulation. In recent years, it has developed rapidly in the sports and leisure products market, such as surfboards, moisture-proof mats, yoga mats, etc. It also has certain uses in construction and has a wider application in flame retardant materials. In recent years, it has been widely used in the automobile and packaging industries.

Characteristics of XPE foam material: Its structure is an independent closed-cell material, so it also has the function of heat insulation and thermal insulation; it also has the characteristics of reducing noise and waterproofing. In addition, it has excellent characteristics such as heat resistance, aging resistance, chemical resistance, especially in line with international environmental protection requirements, and the product itself is a coil and can be laminated, so cross-linked polyethylene foam coil is widely used in: central air-conditioning projects, pipeline projects,  large containers, high-end composite roofing (insulation and sound insulation) systems; luggage linings, integrated circuit boards and other electrical appliances static conductive packaging; high-end sports shoes midsoles; automotive cushioning insulation, decorative materials; water floating materials; single-layer or double-coated tape products and other fields.

Radiation cross-linked foam sheet (IXPE): This chemical cross-linked foam sheet has a smoother and denser surface, smaller and more uniform pores, and better physical properties than XPE. It is widely used in construction, chemical pipelines, thermal engineering, vehicle and shipbuilding, packaging, agriculture, fisheries, sports and entertainment industries. At present, this product is still in the growth stage of the market in mainland China, and its development potential is quite large. The IXPE whole plant equipment manufactured by JWELL mainly includes three parts: extrusion granulation, extrusion sheet,  and foaming production line.
