Do you know about the common pipe extrusion line in your life?

September 23,2022

Plastic pipes are generally made of synthetic resin, i.e. polyester, with stabilisers, lubricants, plasticisers, etc., and are extruded in a pipe making machine by the “plastic” method. Due to its light weight, corrosion resistance, beautiful appearance, no bad odour, easy processing and convenient construction, it is becoming more and more widely used in construction projects. Common plastic pipes in life are as follows.
PE Water Supply Pipe

PE (polyethylene) material is widely used in the manufacture of water supply pipes due to its high strength, corrosion resistance and non-toxicity. Because it does not rust, it is the ideal pipe to replace ordinary iron water pipes.
Performance features:
1、Corrosion resistance: polyethylene has excellent corrosion resistance, better hygiene performance and longer service life.
2、Flexibility: polyethylene has a unique flexibility and excellent scratch resistance.
3、Low temperature resistance: polyethylene has a very outstanding low temperature resistance.
4、Fracture toughness: polyethylene has good fast crack growth fracture toughness.
PE Gas Pipe
PE pipes for gas are a replacement for traditional steel pipes and PVC gas. Gas pipes must withstand certain pressures and are usually made of PE resins with high molecular weight and good mechanical properties, such as HDPE resins.

Performance features:
1、Excellent corrosion resistance
2、Long service life
3、Better impact resistance
4、Reliable connection performance
5、Good construction performance
PE Mining Pipes

UHMWPE pipes for underground use in coal mines are made from modified UHMWPE and are extruded on a special extruder. Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) is a linear structured polyethylene with a viscous average molecular weight of over 1.5 million, known as the “magic plastic”, which combines the advantages of almost all kinds of plastics.

Performance features:
1、 Excellent impact properties
2、 Abrasion resistance
3、 Good tensile properties
4、 Corrosion resistance
5、 Very low coefficient of friction, low fluid resistance
6、 No scaling easily
7、 Easy to connect
8、 Stable flame retardant and anti-static properties
9、 Long service life

Areas of application:
Polyethylene pipes for coal mines, mainly used for underground coal mine drainage, ventilation, coal slurry transport, gas extraction, etc.

PE-RT Floor Heating Pipes

PE-RT (Polyethylene of raised temperature resistance) is a heating pipe developed from PE-RT (Polyethylene of raised temperature resistance), which is a non-cross-linked polyethylene pipe that can be used for hot water, and some people highlight its non-cross-linked characteristics and call it “high temperature resistant non-cross-linked polyethylene pipe”.

Performance features:
1、Good stability and long-term pressure resistance
2、Pipes are easy to bend, convenient for construction
3、Good impact resistance and high safety
4、Ageing resistance and long life
5、Convenient processing and easy quality control
6、The waste pipe can be melted and recycled

PPR Cold Water Pipes

Performance features:
PP-R is a new generation of piping material made by random homogeneous polymerisation (random copolymerisation) of about 5% of the molecular chain of PP using a gas phase copolymerisation process at the end of the 80s.

Areas of application:
1、Cold water system for buildings
2、Pure water supply system for direct drinking
3、Central (centralized) air conditioning systems
4、Piping systems for transporting or discharging chemical media and other industries

PPR Hot Water Pipes
PPR is a random copolymer of propylene and ethylene, PP-R pipe is made of PP-R resin by extrusion.

Areas of application:
1、Hot and cold drinking water pipe system
2、Industrial fluid transfer systems
3、Feeding piping system in seaside facilities
4、Air-conditioning systems
5、Agricultural irrigation systems
6、Transportation internal piping systems

Performance features:
1、Hygienic, non-toxic
2、No rust and corrosion
3、Abrasion resistance, no scaling
4、Reduces vibration and noise
5、Anti-freezing and cracking
6、Anti-condensation, less heat loss
7、Anti-electrical corrosion
8、Simple installation
9、Large cross-sectional area of fittings
10、Recyclable
11、Long service life

Plastic inspection wells

Commonly known as plastic “manholes”, they are drainage appurtenances set at regular intersections of plastic drainage pipes, bends, changes in pipe diameter or slope, plunges or straight sections of pipe at regular intervals to facilitate regular inspection, cleaning and unblocking of pipes.

Performance features:
1、Resistant to acid and alkali corrosion and aging, long service life
2、Safety and environmental protection, good sealing and leakage prevention
3、Uniform settlement and pressure resistance
4、Construction is convenient and quick
5、Efficient drainage
6, light weight, easy to transport and install, reliable performance, strong bearing capacity
7、Low overall cost, less maintenance costs, more advantageous than traditional inspection wells
8、Good sealing performance, leak-proof
9、Saving materials

Areas of application:
1、The design, construction and maintenance of plastic drainage inspection well projects in the building community (residential areas, public building areas, factories, etc.), urban and rural municipalities, industrial parks, old city renovation and other areas where the outside diameter of buried plastic drainage pipes is not greater than 1200mm and the burial depth is not greater than 8m.
2、Construction of plastic drainage inspection wells in general soil, soft soil, seasonal frozen soil and moist loess soil conditions.
3、Earthquake resistant fracture degree of 9 degrees and below.
4、General lane ground load according to the total weight of the car 15t; fire lane ground load according to the total weight of the car 30t (rear wheel pressure 6t) design.
5、The water table is designed according to the ground level not higher than 1.0m below the ground.
