​What is a carat tube?

Carat tube is a hot-winding high-density  polyethylene (HDPE)  winding structural wall tube . Carat pipe is made of high-density polyethylene resin as the main raw material , using a hot winding process , and a  polypropylene (PP)single-wall corrugated pipe as the supporting structure to make a special structural wall pipe with high external pressure resistance.

2. Classification of carat tubes?

Carat tube products can be divided into four series: PR, OP, SQ and VW:

—— PR, OP : mainly used as buried drainage pipes ;

——SQ: Mainly used for manufacturing containers or manholes ;

——VW: Mainly used for tees, elbows, and secondary processed pipe fittings ;

The most widely used product is the PR series, which has a smooth inner surface and a special-shaped reinforced structure on the outside. The standard length of the pipe is 6 meters, and the inner diameter range of the pipe is DN300-DN4000 . The product indicators all meet GB/T 19472.2-2017 B-type structural wall. Pipe standards and EN-13476 European standard requirements.

3. What are the advantages of carat tubes?

(5) The inner wall has low roughness and large water transmission capacity.

The inner wall roughness N of the structural wall pipe product is about 0.010, so the specific friction when transporting fluid is small, and the water delivery capacity can be greatly increased compared with cement pipes under the same conditions of use.

4. What are the application areas of carat tubes?

Carat pipes are mainly used in municipal underground drainage, sewage discharge, rainwater collection, water transportation, ventilation, etc. It can be used as seepage and drainage pipes for railways, highways, golf courses, football fields, etc.

Because polyethylene and polypropylene materials have excellent acid, alkali and corrosion resistance, they are widely used in nuclear power, steel plants, power plants, petrochemicals, docks, stations and other fields, especially in tidal flats, saline-alkali lands, submarine river beds, soft foundation expansion It has outstanding advantages in harsh environments such as soil and earthquake zones.
