So which nylon materials can be applied in new energy vehicles?

PA46
PA46 has the characteristics of high crystallinity, high temperature resistance, high rigidity, high strength and so on.It is mainly used in automobile engine and surrounding parts, such as cylinder head, cylinder base, oil cap, transmission.
PA6
PA6 has superior mechanical properties, stiffness, toughness, wear resistance and mechanical shock absorption, good insulation and chemical resistance. It is widely used in automotive parts, electronic and electrical zero and other fields.
·The signal light base
Signal light bases are located in areas of possible impact and therefore have certain requirements for impact resistance and toughness, which can be overcome by using PA6. The use of PA6 + GF in common screw adjustments or brackets is also part of the daily operations of automotive companies.
·Car chassis parts

The most obvious benefit of using plastics in car chassis is weight reduction. Even with the addition of glass fiber, PA6 parts can still be about 20 to 30 percent lighter than aluminum alloy, low car weight can bring better energy consumption performance. PA66
Compared with PA6, PA66 has better creep resistance, but lower shock strength and mechanical shock absorption. It is widely used in automobiles, drones, electronics and electrical engineering and so on.
PA12
PA12 has the properties of combining polyamide and polyolefin due to its large number of toughening agents. Its outstanding characteristics are high decomposition temperature, low water absorption, and excellent low temperature resistance performance.
It is mainly used in automobile oil pipeline, instrument panel, accelerator pedal, brake hose, electronic and electrical muffler parts, cable sheath.
Halogen-free flame-retardant-enhanced PA6
Using roving glass fiber enhancement, these fibers are arranged in multi-axis, which can not only achieve good flame retardant effect, but also accurately match the load path in the components, which can be applied to the control unit shell, partition, cover plate and other high pressure parts of the battery box of new energy vehicles.
Long glass fiber enhances PA6
Long glass fiber reinforced PA6 has many advantages comparable to metal, suitable for the production of complex automotive module products. Glass fiber reinforced nylon material has high strength, good wear resistance, corrosion resistance and good insulation, and it is also widely used in the parts of the new energy vehicle charging system. Classic application cases include battery box, AC motor housing, electric vehicle charging system, etc.
Fiberglass reinforced PA66 materials are widely used in the automotive industry, such as the automotive engine hood, doors, instrument panel, seats and other components. The commonly used PA66 plus glass fiber ratio are: PA66 + 10% glass fiber ratio enhancement material can be used in automotive interior parts, PA66 + 30% glass fiber ratio enhancement material can be used for automotive exterior accessories.
The glass fiber-reinforced PA66 may also be used as an electronic throttle controller housing — a component that provides an acceleration / deceleration signal according to the pedal position.
PA12
PA12 plastic raw material has the flexibility between plastic and rubber, with excellent size specificity, unique high pressure breaking strength. Suitable for rigid bellows, smooth oil tubing, fuel pipe, vacuum tube, air brake tube, air pressure pipe, multi-layer fuel pipe, silent gear, cable sheath, complex shape parts, etc.
Compared with the rubber pipe, the PA12 line can effectively reduce the system quality. The density of PA12 is 1.02 g / cm, while the density of EPDM rubber often used in traditional automobile pipelines is 1.1~1.2 g / cm. Meanwhile, the tube wall of the PA12 line is relatively thin. Taking the pipe with an inner diameter of 15~18 mm as an example, the PA12 water pipe is only 1.25~1.5 mm, while the wall thickness of the EPDM rubber pipe is generally 3.5~4mm. Comprehensive calculation, the selection of PA12 material can reduce the pipeline weight by 65%.
